EMEA/A Business Development Team / Market Development Manager

We are looking for a full-time market development manager to help strengthen company’s footprint in Asia, especially China. This position is based in Shanghai, China.

Responsibilities

• Managing the creation, distribution, and maintenance of print and electronic local marketing materials, including brochure, samples, and customized gifts
• Overseeing and managing company’s social media account and external events such as conferences and online podcasts
• Generating new opportunities and developing customer pool by market intelligence, e-commerce, or social network. Building potential customers into database and following up under supervision, in 8-12 months, start to follow up independently
• Tracking and analyzing the commercial activities to help raising the effectiveness of marketing and business development
• Building and nurturing the company’s network in Asian pharmaceutical industry, in 8-12 months, responsible for a dedicated region

Requirements

• Scientific background (pharmacy, chemistry, engineering, material or biology) with bachelor’s degree or above
• At least 5 years of customer facing experience (business development, project management, or marketing communication) in pharmaceutical suppliers (equipment, reagent, consumable, ideally CRO or CDMO)
• Professional English, written and reading are must, spoken English is required within 12 months after onboarding, second foreign language (German, Japanese or Korean) is a plus
• Familiar with social media management and AI content generating tools
• Willingness of administrative work up to 10% of work time, traveling up to 50% of work time
